Commonly Asked Questions

How do I make a purchase from your website?
Every week, we will update our website with new trends and coordinating items, accessories and outfits. We will provide links to credible online retailers that carry these items, and by clicking on the link (our "shop it" buttons), you will be able to learn more about the specific item and make a purchase directly from that respective website.

How often is your website updated?
Generally, our “Clothes & Conversation” and “Fashion Finds” are updated on Tuesdays, with a new topic for both men and women. “Clothes & Conversation” introduces a fashion theme, with advice on how to incorporate it into your wardrobe. Sometimes it’s a new trend, silhouette, or color story. Other weeks, it will be about how to dress for an event or upcoming holiday. Then in "Fashion Finds", you’ll find products and outfits we’ve culled from across the web that tie in to this idea, with tips about fit and ways to wear them.
There will always be something to talk about, so sign up for our emails and we will let you know when the new weekly theme has been added to the site. And if you join us on social media, we’ll also alert you to great buys we think you will love from various discount websites.

How do you choose which products you recommend?
We continuously scour the market for the best products. We then provide you with links to trusted department stores, specialty stores or brand websites that carry our recommended items, through the "shop it" buttons you'll see below each item. By clicking on these buttons, you can learn even more about the make, fit and quality of the product and make your purchase directly from that site. All of that company’s customer service policies will apply, so we are always mindful of directing you to sites that have shipping and return policies that will make your shopping experience easy.

Why do the links bring me to other websites?
Instead of stocking our own shelves with inventory, we are choosing products from respected retailers’ cyber shelves all over the web. You can then easily buy the products directly from them – we’ve already done the legwork of finding those perfectly edited picks, specifically for you. Our mission is to make your shopping experience successful and easy. We will not promote any products that we don’t believe in.

Why do some “shop it” buttons take me to a site’s homepage or a “broken” page?
Great products don’t always last very long. When a product sells out on some websites, that site will redirect you to their homepage or a “broken” page that may tell you they can’t find that item.

How do I buy a product I find on your website?
When you see a product you like, simply click on the "shop it" button. This will take you to the website of a trusted retailer or brand that carries that specific item. You can buy the items you like directly from that websites and try the clothes on in the comfort of your own home. As we are directing you to purchase from other websites, we are always mindful of ensuring that they have shipping and return policies that meet our standards.

How does “search” work on your site?
Our search tool bar is located in the upper right corner of every page on our site. If you have a favorite designer, you can search for it and the results will show you everything on our site from that retailer. You can search by color, type of clothing, event, store, and season, too. Unlike humans, who think in chains of words, our search technology thinks about individual words. If you type “blue shirt for a wedding”, it will find products matches for anything “blue”, anything that’s noted as a “shirt “, and anything tagged for a “wedding”. The results are broken down by gender – men on the left, women on the right. You may click through the “shop it” button on any product to purchase it directly from the retailer selling it. And, of course, you can always go to the Clothes & Conversation or Fashion Finds landing pages (for Men or Women) and peruse the content that way.

How exactly does your company earn a profit if you don’t carry your own inventory?
Sometimes, we earn a commission from the items you purchase through our links. We may also have some advertising on our site. If you like our recommendations, please use these links to make a purchase. It will help us pay the bills and keep the information flowing to you.

How do you choose which websites you link to on your site?

We look for great product on websites that we know and have customer friendly policies we believe you will like.

Does affiliate marketing create a conflict of interest?
No. Our mission is to help you look great and make your life easier. We will only choose products on websites that will accomplish this mission and live up to our high standards for you.
