We know. We haven’t even had Thanksgiving yet, we’re still sneaking Halloween candy, and we need to start thinking about what we’re going to wear the office holiday party already? The answer is simple…yes. Many offices have already announced their party dates, and with the short holiday season (Thanksgiving is later this year), the season will fly by before we know it. So, it’s time to put aside our thoughts of turkey and stuffing, and think about the rest of the holidays. This is a time where we are thinking about others (especially any kids in our lives and their detailed gift lists). But that doesn’t mean we can’t look good while we’re out enjoying the season, too. So, for the next few weeks we’re going to focus on all the great holiday parties that are coming up…and what to wear to them. We’re kicking it off with the office party this week. If you’ll be attending a formal or semi-formal party, we’ll be talking about those in depth next week. And we’ll wrap up the party talk with our favorite – casual get togethers with family and friends.
As we all know, the office party is not the time to get sloppy. Just as we also know, it’s not the time to drink too much at the open bar. But it is a time to get a little festive, loosen up, and enjoy time talking to people in the office we might not interact with often. So, whether the party is just drinks and potluck in the conference room at the end of day, a company outing for bowling or a comedy show, or something at a venue or restaurant, let’s get into what to wear.
