Colorblock Sweater
Closed
Sold by: East Dane

Fit Guide
Color blocking is the easiest way for a gent to add some pattern to his outfit, and a stylish look this season. Closed, a cool contemporary line that started with denim, has evolved their casual aesthetic to include other wardrobe essentials like this awesome 100% Italian linen sweater. The 3 shades of indigo blue make it an easy match to jeans, shorts, or any cotton pants in neutral or pop colors. Because of the big color blocks, a solid or pattern button up shirt works really well underneath, if you want to spruce it up, while a white or heather grey t-shirt keeps it easy.

Fresh Patterns are a Sure Sign of Spring: Stripes, Plaid, & Graphics

Pattern usually means plaid and stripes for most gents. And we’ve got plenty of great options in those categories this season, since this is a season that is all about strong patterns. From bold and whimsical to classically dapper, patterns are an ideal way to pop a classic suit, dress up your favorite jeans, and add some casual style to your weekend wear. So, it’s time to update your wardrobe with some fresh shirts, ties, even shorts, in some new seasonal patterns. Statement stripes can be worn together and with solids- from wide rugby stripes to narrow railroad stripes. And this means color blocking is equally important – a great way to subtly do some color combinations without any effort at all. Of course, plaids and ginghams remain important, in this season’s favorite colors of blues, greens, and even deep reds. There are even touches of graphic patterns, including floral – and no, we don’t mean Hawaiian shirts. Muted or strong and graphic, they are a fun addition that even the most masculine of us can try for a night out or weekend casual look.

Fit Guide
This lightweight silk and wool jacket from Brooks Brothers is ideal for a formal day at the office or a dressy restaurant, and features a black and white plaid that is timeless, while right on the money for the warmer months. The blue overlay adds a touch of classic color that makes it easy to accessorize. And we suggest doing that with a pair of seasonless charcoal wool pants, a white spread collar shirt and a solid or stripe tie. For a more casual look, go with dark jeans or tan flat front cotton pants, and add a white or blue button up shirt. This jacket is in Brooks Brothers’ Fitzgerald model, which is modern with narrower lapels and a shorter length. It is a great fit for classic gents looking for a bit of a modern update.

Fit Guide
A gent can never have enough plaid button up shirts, and ensuring you have a few in summer ready brights will bring you endless wears - to the office, out to dinner, or on weekends with sleeves rolled up with jeans or shorts. This classic fitting Peter Millar is shown with pink pants, and while we love the pink/purple/grey combination in the shirt, it’s just too versatile to bother trying to match your pants to it. Just go with jeans or cotton twill pants - blue, tan, white, and even washed red work. While great on its own, you can throw on a blue or tan blazer to spruce it up for the office or dinner.

The contemporary fit plays perfectly into the modern feel of this print and looks great with dark jeans. The pattern also looks stylish peaking out from under a solid blue sport coat, so you’ll get plenty of use out of it.
