Labor Day is drawing near, football season is kicking off, and kids are getting ready to head back to school – sure signs of Fall. And the Fall social calendar usually fills up as quickly as that Summer one does. Instead of pool parties, barbecues, and beach weddings, it becomes a time of charitable events, more weddings (but indoors), holiday gatherings for many, and easy get-togethers. So, let’s start talking about what to wear. From dressier events to more casual parties, and family meals on holidays, it’s time to bust out some Fall fashion… in stylishly appropriate ways, of course.

Formal/Semi-Formal Events. As Summer draws to a close, a whole new crop of events start coming our way. Charity events change from golf outings and runs to sit-down dinners, auctions, and dressier affairs. September and October are also big weddings months. Sophisticated Gatherings. As we head in to September, there is a level of sophisticated refinement that takes over. Instead of taking a client out for a round of golf or outdoor drinks, you may go to posh restaurant for dinner. You may also be celebrating the upcoming Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur holidays with family or neighbors. And these are all occasions to dress for.
