Classic Fit Super 120s Wool Pinstripe Suit
David Donahue
Sold by: Nordstrom

Fit Guide
Why is it a Find? David Donahue’s pinstripe wool suit creates a serious business look with a modern attitude. The super 120’s Italian wool fabric is lightweight and so comfortable. The pale Summer grey is not only on trend for the season, but also easy to accessorize with solid AND pattern dress shirts and ties.
Wear it with: Pair this suit with a solid white or blue spread collar shirt and simple pattern tie for a conservative look, appropriate in any important business meeting. You can still step up your fashion game by pairing it with these tan shoes to complete the lighter Summer look.
Fit Tip: This David Donahue is a gentleman’s fit, with plenty of room in the jacket and a medium rise pant.
Alternatives: If you prefer a more contemporary fit, this solid light grey suit from Hugo Boss serves the same purpose.

The Business Meeting Outfit Guide for Spring: Look Professional, and Seasonally Appropriate

We’re updating last Spring’s popular Clothes & Conversation about dressing for those important business meetings, with some fresh new styles to keep you looking modern and appropriate. You want your outfit to reflect who you are. But, let’s face it, you never get a second chance to make a first impression. And it’s important to dress for the room. No matter your role, these days we are often in situations where we’re meeting new people. You may be meeting with a new client for the first time, making or hearing that first pitch, meeting a new boss or a new team. An updated, yet timeless look will always give you a powerful feeling, and can become your go-to look for important work days, which will help you get ready quickly in the morning – and who would ever turn down extra time?

CREATIVE: Even though the atmosphere has a laid-back air, it’s very important to toe the line and not get too casual – especially when you are trying to make a good impression or it’s a first meeting. If you are certain everyone in the meeting will be in jeans, you can wear them too, but be sure to dress them up with a smart button up, a sport coat, and a great pair of shoes. In cases like these, it’s better to be a bit overdressed than underdressed. Without that affirmation, there are a lot of ways to play with some style, like wearing a great patterned sport shirt with dress trousers, for a casually professional air. In this week’s Fashion Finds, we’ve created 2 outfits that reflect just the right suitable meeting style. SEE THE OUTFITS.>>

CONSERVATIVE: If you work in – or a pitching to – a firm that has a conservative environment, you want to fit in and look the part. And tailored pieces can be trickier in the warmer weather. You don’t want them to be too heavy. After all, the last thing you want is to let them see you sweat. At the same time, you do want to give off that polished and utterly professional air. Lighter colored sport coats, or even replacing that jacket with a thin sweater, still create the proper look. Our Fashion Finds for this week create 2 outfits that will give you confidence to stand – or sit - in front of any conservative group.  SEE THE OUTFITS.>>
