The importance of plaids and checks in menswear ebbs and flows over the years. Well, it’s in a “flow” now and will continue all through winter. They can be found in everything from a button-down shirt to a sport jacket to an entire suit. And it’s not just straight-up plaid. There are subtle versions to bold ones, small prints to large. Some houndstooth and argyle are thrown in for good measure, too. This is one of our favorite ways to break up all the solids that are generally in our wardrobes. And none of them will have you looking anything like a lumberjack.
