This linen/cotton Theory skirt suit is so lady-like. It’s not only great for work, but also ideal for a lovely family dinner or brunch – it just depends what you choose to pair it with. The jacket hits at the perfect place on the hip and is a heavier weight than your average linen giving it a luxe feel and finish. For work, Theory’s off-white wide leg pants tie back to the jacket’s trim perfectly. For something a little dressier, it is shown with a dress that actually has a leather bodice and skirt made of the same canvas. The a-line looks great on curvy and straighter ladies, alike. Rag & Bone’s urban, contemporary look is effortlessly tailored and sophisticated. This jacket fits the bill with it’s modern stand-up notched collar and single button closure – great for women of all bust sizes. For an edgier look, we love this vest, very on trend for the season. Both pair effortlessly with the coordinating pants or your favorite pair of dark or white jeans. We love the sophisticated dove grey for spring – it can be worn with any color, so you’ll get a lot of wear out of it. The jacket, vest, and pants do come in a gorgeous deep navy though, too.

J.Crew offers a great interpretation of the vest replacing the blazer for a polished and stylish suit alternative. This fluid single-button vest has a loose, easy fit which works beautifully with the drapey fabric. And here's where it gets interesting. In black, they offer a fluid pair of coordinating pants that will create a chic work look by just adding a silk or cotton simple sleeveless top. In the beautiful color light mauve shown, you can pair it with pleated Bermuda shorts in the same fabric and color. We love these modern fitting easy shorts for everyone - they are long enough for all ladies to give this look a try. We only suggest the shorts if you work in a very creative environment, but they will turn this vest into a great night out option.
