J.Crew & Anthropologie Top 10 Sale List: Specially Selected for the Ladies

J.Crew. Leggings take on delightedly more structured feel with J.Crew’s best-selling Pixie pants. The ponte fabric is thicker than typical leggings, with a back zip that also lends itself to a more “pant-like” look that you can easily wear to the office with a partially tucked button down and blazer or any tailored sweater. They’ll transition to the weekend with a slouchy sweater or any casual top. Note: These are on sale in black (our favorite, shown) and navy. And charcoal grey and olive green are also available, but those 2 colors are Final Sale. The fitted shape flatters every lady’s curves and doesn’t give you muffin top. These will become a wardrobe staple.

J.Crew. Do you know why they’re called “t-shirts”? Because they were originally invented to be shaped like a “T” accommodating the shoulders, with a straight body. Well, let’s face it. That is not always the ideal shape for a lady’s figure. And that’s why we love this drapey tee. Available in a bunch of great solid colors through the ‘shop it’ button, it also comes in a stylish stripe that we featured in Clothes & Conversation this week. Whichever you choose, this is a tee that can be worn on its own – it won’t cling to any of your bits - and has a wider neckline that just adds to the flattering look. It looks just as good under an open cardigan so it will instantly become a part of your year round wardrobe.

J.Crew. This wool skirt is Final Sale, but it’s so good – and such a great price – it’s worth going for. In 00-12, Petite and Tall, go with your normal J.Crew size. It has a higher waist that is ideal for ladies with hourglass and pear shapes (smaller waists and curvier hips). If you have a straighter shape, any tailor can easily take in the hips, if needed. This skirt looks great with a blouse tucked in or a trim sweater. While an easy workday solution, the zipper gives it a little edge that can easily transition to a date night look with sexy heels and lace top – especially in the black color we’re featuring here. J.Crew. Another Final Sale item, this necklace is such a fun fashion accent – at an equally irresistible price. Through the ‘shop it’ button, you can check out the chic, choker length in the alt image, which is great with a crewneck, v-neck, or button down. The various shades of lilac will brighten up all of Winter’s darker colors – we especially love it with navy, camel or black. And once the warm weather comes around, this necklace is simply amazing with a simple white tee or your favorite dress. It looks great against the soft pinks, corals, and bold yellows that will be so popular in the upcoming season, too.

Anthropologie. This also comes in black through the ‘shop it’ button, but this blue-green color is our top choice since it is so flattering on most every skin tone and makes a perfect accent for all the neutrals and denim already in your closet. The relaxed fit and flowy shape – along with the lighter weight fabric - looks great layered under an easy cardigan, so this color will pop all your black, grey, and ivory favorites. The detail along the top is a lovely accent, especially if you have a smaller chest. It uses a sheer fabric within that piece, but just wear a nude bra and you’ll be all set.

Anthropologie. The paper bag, high-waisted styling of these cropped pants is seriously flattering – and so on trend for the season to come. And lucky for us, these pants are made of a year round fabric, so you’ll be able to wear them with flats and a sleeveless button down in the Spring. And for now? We know cropped pants can feel tricky in the Winter. Wear them with tights and a heeled pair of booties to keep you warm - and the look will elongate your legs. Add a simple black turtleneck to complete this chic look.

Anthropologie. This sweater jacket has an over-sized fit – larger than the typically modern fit that Anthropologie carries. If you are between sizes, size down and you’ll still get a relaxed fit that is fabulous for the cold Winter days. It easily layers over a cozy plaid button down, your favorite thermal or a tank. That’s the beauty of the easy shape and the layered sleeves. Yes, the sleeves are layered – the navy sweater (shown) has a dark grey t-shirt knit, and the ivory option (also through the ‘shop it’ button) has an equally neutral pale grey. Don’t worry about matching your top to the sleeve. That’s the beauty of this sweater. You get the look of multiple layers without any effort at all. With skinny jeans or leggings and tall, flat boots you’ll be comfy all weekend long.

Anthropologie. Tolani has always been one of our favorite scarf makers, and the scattered sequin detail makes this one so feminine and very “Anthropologie”. The black fabric is made of a cotton/wool blend so it’s not too heavy and super soft.
